Hi, This is Zhenqi Ji I want to share with you some thoughts of mine about design.
Design is the ability to find clarity in a complicated world.
I'm drawn to the tension of competing demands — the process of reshaping something ordinary until it becomes something considered, where chaos settles into order. Where what was overlooked becomes what matters most.
Over the years, I've seen what good design can quietly do. A well-organized set of medical device documentation that helped healthcare workers do their jobs with more confidence. An instruction manual — simple, precise — that made an aromatherapy necklace feel like something worth trusting. From pharmaceuticals to everyday objects, design isn't about layering rules on top of rules. It's about bringing order to the noise of daily life and rebuilding the experience from the ground up.
A designer's real skill is the ability to reinvent the ordinary — to give the rushed, the overwhelmed, the distracted, a reason to slow down, if only for a moment.
A little Background about me
I am a graphic designer with eight years of professional experience. As a designer, I excel in client engagement, brand-centric design, and digital solution creation. My expertise spans typography, layout, and motion design, and I adeptly manage and mentor junior designers.
Besides Graphic Design, I am also a professional photographer. I am living in a studio with thousands of photos—prints in old boxes, dusty albums, videos from everyday life, and summer holidays. I love looking back. Not just for the memories, but for the feeling. The joy of seeing moments you’d almost forgotten. The people, the light, the laughter.
That feeling is what I offer. That’s the heart of my work.
For more than 5 years, I’ve photographed weddings across Southern California. Portraits of hundreds, male or female, young or senior, human beings or puppies.
I’ve also had the privilege of documenting celebrations for politicians, athletes, CEOs, and creatives, people who trust us for my artistic eye and my discretion. With years of experience in high-profile settings, I understand the importance of privacy.
